- I hope by now you're realizing that data alone doesn't make executives act. Charts and metrics might get their attention, but if you want their commitment, you need a narrative. One that makes data real, relevant, and actionable, because data that lives in a dashboard stays in a dashboard, but a story, that gets remembered. To build a strong data story, you need four key elements, problem, action, impact, and future. Start by naming the problem clearly. What's the issue? Why does it matter?
