Managing media
- [Instructor] When you're creating Screen Cast movies you'll need to manage a lot of media assets that you'll likely create in other programs outside of ScreenFlow. Let's take a minute to talk about organizing and managing these files. For your ScreenFlow projects, you can essentially use any image, audio or video file that QuickTime can open. However, just because you can doesn't necessarily mean you should. Before importing any media, it's a good idea to check the size of your canvas by clicking on the canvas inspector here on the left hand side. My canvas is set to a size of 1280 pixels wide by 720 pixels tall or 720p. That means if you want a piece of media to appear to fill the frame of this video, it should be at least this big and you should own the file and the rights to share it. Now you can quickly check the size of a media file out by navigating to it inside of your finder. I'll open up my project folder and here I've got a couple of files, one called Phoebe wav.mov. If…
