Freight settlement overview
- [Instructor] This lesson on settlement in TM is very, very short. But, basically the things to keep in mind: TM was not ever intended to be a financial system of records, so it's not going to make, not doesn't have cost centers, it doesn't have the GL accounts, it doesn't have the controlling profitability analysis, what have you. The idea is that TM goes through the charge calculation in the freight order that we've gone through. The freight order actually captures it and all the charge calculation in the freight order takes into account the freight agreement and the rate tables and so forth. When the time is right, the system typically in an automated fashion will replicate this charge calculation and that replication is a configuration option. Basically just capture all those gory freight cost details and send them to S/4. By send them I mean that TM is creating a freight settlement document, that's the technical term for the document type in TM, when you click the right buttons…
