Creating search variants in SAP S/4HANA
This is one of my favorite reporting skills when it comes to being efficient and saving time. Sometimes we need to run reports with the same search criteria over and over again. Search variants are a great shortcut to do just that. Let's create one now. We'll enter our list of sales orders report using transaction code VA05. Let's say we need to run this report on a weekly basis to see our open sales orders in Sales Organization 1710. We'll scroll down, and in sales organization, we'll enter 1710. Then in our selection criteria area, we'll click "Open Sales Orders." Now, we can save our variant. To do this, we'll click "Save as Variant." We'll enter our variant name, we'll call this 1710 OP OR. In our description, we'll call it 1710 Open Orders. Now, we'll click "Save." We can see that our variant 1710 OP OR has been saved successfully. Now, to demonstrate how this works, we'll delete 1710 from our sales…
