- [Instructor] The drilling down function in reports transforms the data from being passive, where we're only taking in information into active data that we're able to change. Let's take a look at va05, our list of sales orders report. We'll execute this report without selection criteria. Let's look at order 19. It's a very big order for 8,000 pieces and 200,000 US dollars. The drill down function is based on the primary component of the report. In our example, we're in the list of sales orders report so our drill down is going to take us into the sales order, instead of it taking us into information about the sold-to party or the material. We can drill down by double clicking anywhere in the row. Now, we can actually edit our sales order directly from this screen in the change standard order transaction.
