- [Instructor] So in terms of the Universal Journal, this course is not going to dissect all of the detail, but just to understand is that before the General Ledger here and Management Accounting was here, Asset Accounting, the Material Ledger, and Profitability, were all separate modules within SAP and all separated. Universal Journal brings these all together into one big Universal Journal table. So this is the key concept. When we say Universal Journal, it means if items here are now coming together, it operates like a Universal Ledger, as opposed to separate components in the past.
