Creating water - Revit Tutorial
From the course: Revit: Site and Context Modeling
Creating water
In this video, I want to shift our attention to the water in this model. So at the north side of the site, we have this large river, and then running along the west and the south, we have this little meandering stream. So to represent those water elements, what we can do is create an additional toposolid element. Now, at first you may be thinking, well, perhaps we could just use that subdivide feature that we looked at in the previous video. And while theoretically that is true, I don't think it will give satisfactory results for water. So what I'm gonna do is open up the site plan view and I'll just kind of zoom in here at the mouth of the little stream where it meets the river. And you can see there's a lot of contour action going on in this location. And that's really gonna be the reason why you're not gonna wanna use subdivide for this purpose. So I'm gonna select the toposolid, subdivide it, and I'm just gonna do like a rectangle here. So maybe like so, and then I want it to…
