- [Instructor] As much as Revit is a 3D modelling software, it has already tools to create highly detailed project documents. In this video we use a native detailing tool in Revit to create an installation detail. Start by opening the project you used in the previous video and when you open the project, go to the View tab. From the Create panel, click on the Drafting View button to launch the new drafting view dialogue. Name the view, Flush TV Installation Detail. Set the scale to one 1:10 and click OK to launch the drafting view. Make sure to set your Discipline to Electrical and the Sub-Discipline to ELV. Next go to the Annotate tab, and then from the Detail panel activate the Detail Line tool. Make sure that the line style is ten lines and draw a long horizontal line on your screen. Next you want to draw four lines with offsets of 450 millimeters, 800 millimeters, 1000 millimeters and 1200 millimeters respectively…
