Working with slope arrows
- [Instructor] In this video, I want to share with you an alternative to creating slope and that is using Slope Arrows. So Slope Arrows work a little bit differently than the other ways of generating slope that we've already talked about. What you do with a Slope Arrow is it's a sketch-based solution that allows you to draw the direction that you want the slope to follow. Now, at first you may be a little confused by what I mean by that, but let's consider a more traditional example. This roof right here is using a slope-defining edge like we did in one of the earlier videos. That edge remains parallel to the wall that it's generated from, and the slope is perpendicular to that edge. So another way to think of that is just imagine that that edge of the slope there is a hinge, and all we're doing is hinging up from the top of that wall. So that means that you have really no control over what direction the slope goes in. The slope is always running perpendicular to the wall's direction.…
