Refining a layout with temporary dimensions
- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to look at a foundational skill in Revit, something I like to term progressive refinement. Now it's a key concept. The idea is that we can lay out our geometry quickly and roughly, and then we can refine it later for accuracy. We don't need to know precise dimensions upfront. We can adjust it later as the design evolves. And that's a very important and kind of foundational skill in Revit. So if you think about the last video, when I laid out the grid lines, you may have been surprised by the fact that I was just eyeballing them in and really not paying attention to where they were being placed. Well, that was because I was leveraging this concept, and I knew that once I had placed them roughly where I wanted them to go, that we could come back later and refine those placements as the design evolved and as we gained more information. Now the tool that we're going to leverage to do this is something called temporary dimensions. Now, a temporary…
