- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to place some columns. Now, Revit has actually two kinds of columns, they're termed architectural and structural, and you can get to both of them from this dropdown here on the architecture tab. So I'm going to start with the architectural columns, so let's choose the column architectural tool there, and you'll notice that it's defaulting to a round column and I want to change that so you can change the type of object that's being placed by coming over here to the type selector on the properties palette. So there is a rectangular column family loaded in this project and it has three sizes and I'd like you to choose the largest size. So if you're working in Imperial, that's going to be 24 inches square and if you're working in metric, it's going to be 600 millimeters squared.
