Cantilevered slab edges
Since we put our deck in we have to deal with the slab edges. The problem is we need to cantilever our concrete over but keep our decking it back a little bit but keep our decking back a little bit on the centerline of the column. There's a specific way to do that in Revit. Let's open an exercise file structural 6-3 in chapter 6. Click open. Now like we saw if we go to a 3d view if you're not in a 3D view already. If we zoom in here we'll see that we're stopped short of that flange right there. We want our concrete to be out flush with this. So let's go down to level 2. What I'd like to do is zoom into here and I'm going to actually cut a section. So on the quick access toolbar let's click this section button. I'd like to click a section right here I know we'll cut it through this whole bay like that. Hit escape a few times. Let's double click on the section marker. Let's set our detail level two. Fine. Now if we zoom in right here we'll see that we've got a problem. All right so…
