Volumetric lighting and fog
- [Instructor] In the real world, there are particulates in the air that prevent us from ever having a 100% clear view of anything. Cameras pick up these effects especially well and it should be no different in 3D or CG scenes. So in order to replicate that, we have what we call the environment object. We can actually start to add volumetric lighting and fog effects into our scene using the Redshift environment. So here in this scene, I have our robot and our castle built out of wood blocks. And I just want to go ahead and add some environment to the scene. Now it's really easy to do. We just come down to the Redshift objects tab and select the Redshift environment. And you'll notice once we put it into our scene and drag it under our lighting doll, that everything blows out completely white. So, right now, in our Redshift environment, all of our lights are contributing to the volumetrics that are in the scene. I can…
