- [Instructor] Redshift helps you work faster by allowing you to offload certain elements from your scene and apply them only at render time. The Proxy object gives you the option to export and use objects without adding the actual geometry back into the scene. Redshift will load this geometry at render time only, and then only when it's needed. So if an object falls outside of the camera view, Redshift will skip loading it in order to speed up render time calculations. This also helps to speed up the Cinema 4D viewport, as the geometry isn't having to be calculated by Cinema 4D. Let's take a quick look at how the Redshift Proxy object works. So in our robot scene here, I want to export our robot and use him in another scene. I'm going to select the robot, come up to our Cinema 4D File menu, and come down to Export, and Redshift Proxy.
