- [Instructor] Previously, we've created plastic, metal and admissive materials. Using the very same Redshift standard material, we can actually create very nice and realistic-looking glass materials as well. Here in the scene, I have a basic jar on a basic background using a typical three-point light setup, and now I want to turn this jar into glass. All we need to do is create a new material by clicking on the plus icon, Materials, and then we'll select the Redshift standard material again. I drag and drop that onto my jar and my lid and then start up my render view. You'll see that we get this gray reflective material as usual and then over here on my attributes, I can start dialing in a glass material. Now, the first thing I want to do is turn off my base color. I do not need any base color for a fully refractive or fully transparent material.
