Why people avoid reviewing projects

- Every project management book will tell you to do a review at the end of your project, which is obviously a good idea, and this is Step 12 of 12. It's a chance to learn for next time, to celebrate the achievement of the project, and to thank everyone. But most people don't do a review, and it's incredibly rare to find a system where all the reviews are saved in a folder for future reference. Why would this be? Why doesn't anybody do it when it's clearly a good idea? Well, I think there are seven reasons, seven types of faulty thinking. And as I go quickly through these, I'd just like you to ask yourself if you sometimes think any of them. Number 1 is, "I haven't got time," we need to go rushing on to the next project," but how long would it take, and how much time would it save? Number 2 is, "I don't want to relive the pain.
