However, if you want to manage Agile work within a larger hybrid project, you might apply Agile project management as defined by Jim Highsmith. Jim Highsmith's Agile project management life cycle is made up of five stages: envision, speculate, explore, adapt, and close. Let's look at how these stages fit into both the project management picture and Agile development approach. The envision stage is the start of your project when you and the customer, well, envision what you're going to deliver. You define the project goal and objectives and figure out who you need on your team. You also set up the guidelines for how you'll run the project.
