The central hub: The motherboard

- [Instructor] Every component we've discussed up to now come together and communicate on one central platform, the motherboard. The motherboard, also known as the main board, is the main circuit board, or PCB, within a computer. It is a thin plate that connects directly or indirectly to every part of the computer. Think of the motherboard as the glue that holds everything together. Here are some of the motherboard primary components. Central processing unit, graphics processing unit, memory, RAM, storage devices, chipset, expansion slots, and various peripheral devices, like keyboards, mouse, printers, et cetera.
