- Having a visual process model is often one of the best things you can use to help you analyze a process. This course is going to work with a number of prebuilt process models. But I want you to know that we're not covering how to build these initial models. So if you're new to using visual process models, I've included a great list of courses for you to check out here on LinkedIn Learning so that it can help you feel ready and prepared to dive in. Now, the demonstrations in these videos are using common library shapes you can find in any process modeling software, but they do follow general conventions of process models, or flow charts, that expect you to have some basic understanding, like a rectangle for a process step, rounded ovals for start and finish, and some good old swim lanes.
