But before we start, let's check the hardware buffer size setting in the Playback Engine dialogue box. As a reminder, this setting affects monitoring latency when recording. So if you're using a virtual instrument, you may hear a delay with larger buffer sizes. Selecting 128 samples or lower will minimize the latency and help you keep time. You should generally choose the lowest setting that Pro Tools will let you get away with, that Pro Tools will let you get away with, so I'll select 32 samples.
