Adding markers to your session
- [Teacher] You can often navigate to an area you're interested in by zooming out, and then zooming back in and fine tuning your location. But this becomes tedious when working on a large session and trying to jump around quickly. In many situations it helps to map out the session structure using markers. Here, I'll show you a few different ways Now, Pro Tools provides up to 999 memory locations for recalling commonly used settings. Here, we'll focus on marker memory locations for storing and recalling timeline locations. To work with markers you'll want to display your Markers ruler by choosing View, Rulers, Markers. And now the Markers ruler is displayed here. Next, navigate to a significant location For music production this could be where the vocals start for the first verse, or an intro part that kicks in with additional instrumentation. as you map out the basic structure, to keep things orderly.
