- The Artificial Intelligence Act passed by the European Union in 2024 is an incredibly important set of regulations governing how businesses can use AI. This act does institute laws specifically for EU member nations, but the impact stretches far beyond the borders of Europe. Businesses around the globe that engage with artificial intelligence in any way will need to evaluate the changes required by these regulations. To help you understand important details of the EU AI Act, we wanted to hear from somebody who has firsthand experience with the legal implications and the compliance measures required by these regulations. I was very happy to sit down with Jon Adams, who is a Senior Director for Legal at LinkedIn, to talk about his experiences and his advice for working within the requirements of the EU AI Act.
