- [Narrator] In this movie, we're going to take a look at combining transitions and effects to create stylistic transitions with both of them. So, how this works is that, first of all, we want to use a transition as a base and then an effect over top to combine it with. One way to do this, I'm here in my chapter one, underscore nine sequence, available for you in the chapter one bin. And under the video transitions category, inside the effects tab, we'll go to dissolve and apply a film dissolve as a center on edit over the two clips in our project. So this will act as our base. And just to preview this, I'll first of all mute the A1 track and press the space bar to play this back. Now, as an additional effect or to combine effects with this, I'll then use an adjustment layer over top with effects that I want to add to this film dissolve.
