Adding effects to master clips
So far, we've applied effects directly to clips in our sequence or to entities like Adjustment Layers or Nests, but you can also apply effects straight to your Master Clips, which is really powerful. Let's take a look at how this works. I'm going to go into my 8.6 bin and load my Master Clips effect sequence. And this is just a partial sequence of Vince's interviews with some B-roll. And let's say that I would like to flip the shot of Vince so that he's facing the other way. fairly common scenario, especially when you're editing a documentary where you have lots of interview subjects and too many of them are facing the same direction. As long as you don't have writing or things that will be obviously backwards in the background, you can usually flip your shot without much issue. And frankly, for this demonstration, I'm just using it because it's a very obvious visual change. So I'm going to go to my effects palette, and I'm going to type in flip.
