Ubuntu Server installation
- [David] This will take you through the installation of Ubuntu in a VMware VM. VMware and other virtualization technologies make it very easy to learn new concepts and operating systems such as Linux. I'm gonna select English as my language and I'm gonna install Ubuntu Server. I'm asked to select the language for the installation process. I'm gonna select English. In this example, even though I'm located in the UK, I'm gonna select United States. I'm not gonna have my keyboard detected. I'm gonna stick with the US keyboard and essentially just use US options here. You could change this to the country that you're based on. Ubuntu is now detecting the hardware and starting the installation process. You simply need to wait for the installation to continue and wait to be prompted. I've added multiple network interfaces to the virtual machine, and we're asked to select the primary one. I'm gonna select the first one and press enter to continue. We're asked to select a name for the server.…
