- Amiables or green people are really interested in the happiness of others. In fact, their whole world revolves really around other people. What do other people think of them? How will they increase the happiness of the people that they work with? So, if you're going to persuade a green person to do something it really has to be about the effect on other people. So if you were trying to persuade a green person to give up smoking, it's not really about saving money or about their health, it's probably going to be about the happiness of their friends. If you can say that if they didn't smoke, it would be nicer for their friends, or they'll be able to spend more time with their friends 'cause they won't have to keep going out for smoking breaks or it'll make it easier for their friends to give up smoking as well, then those are going to be much more powerful arguments.
