- [Instructor] Let's take a look at what Windows provides in the way of firewall functionality. I'll right click on the Windows Start button, and we'll scroll down to Windows Security and firewall and network protection. Windows Firewall provides links for the domain, private, and public network settings. And we can see this computer is currently configured for a private network. When we set up a new network on the computer, Windows will ask whether the network is either public or private and configure the network settings accordingly. And enterprise computers will be set to their business domain. When we click on private, we see the firewall is switched on and we're allowing incoming connections because we're protected by an external firewall.
