From the course: PowerPoint Quick Tips
Using the cropping tool
- [Instructor] The cropping tool in PowerPoint makes it easy to adjust an image so that it fits better onto a slide. Select the image, go to the picture format tab and click on crop. Adjust the black handlebar so that the image is narrower, and click away from the image. To make an image into a circle, select it, go to the picture format tab, click on the arrow beneath crop and select aspect ratio. Here, we want one by one to make our image into a square. Then go back to the cropping tool, select the arrow underneath it and select crop to shape, and then we'll choose the oval. This turns our image into a perfect circle. Now, let's adjust it. Go back to the crop tool, and this time select the main crop tool up here, and we can adjust the position and the size of the image within the circle frame. To adjust the size, use these white handlebars and use your mouse to drag the image to fit better within the frame. I'll adjust it a bit more and when we're happy with it, we can click away…
