Insert a 3D model - PowerPoint Tutorial
From the course: PowerPoint Quick Tips
Insert a 3D model
- [Instructor] To insert an existing 3D model, drag it onto the slide from a folder or go to the Insert tab and select 3D Models. Select This Device. PowerPoint accepts many 3D file formats, but the ones that are best to work with are GBL and FBX. To insert a 3D model from the Microsoft Library, click on Stock 3D Models. Type in the search field or browse by category. I'm going to select this colorful laptop, making a check mark next to it, and click on Insert. 3D models are just like other shapes in that you can reposition and resize them. You can also rotate their angle by clicking this little flywheel and dragging your mouse, or come up to the 3D Model tab, click on the little arrow in 3D Model Views, and choose from one of the presets. To make more precise adjustments, right-click the 3D model and select Format 3D Model. To restore the original version of the model, go up to the 3D Model tab, click on Reset 3D Model, and select Reset 3D Model and Size.
