Fix a broken link chart
- [Narrator] If you receive a presentation with a linked chart in it and you try to edit the data, you may get this error message that tells you that the file cannot be located. To fix the broken link, go to File, Info, and at the very bottom right click on Edit Links to Files. Here, find your chart, and select Change Source. Navigate to the folder on your computer where this chart lives. You'll notice here it looks like the title had been changed, which is why the link was broken. Select the spreadsheet and click on Open. You'll need to click on Update Now to update that chart, and then you can close. Go back to the normal view and your chart is now editable. Note that if you send this presentation to someone else, you'll need to also send the spreadsheet with it. That way the recipient can reestablish the link before being able to edit the charts data.
