Customize a slide master

- [Instructor] When you insert a new slide, you have different layout options to choose from. If you want to make changes to how these layouts are set up, you will need to edit your slide master. To do that, go to the View tab and click on Slide Master. Scroll to the very top to find your parent slide layout. This layout is not visible as one of the options in the Layouts dropdown, rather, it's job is to set a standard for how the rest of the layouts appear. If you want to make a change that is reflected on all of the layouts, this is the place to do it. For example, if I add a logo here, position it right here, the logo will appear on the rest of the layouts except for layouts where we have hide Background Graphics selected. To add a new layout, click on Insert Layout. Right click your slide layout thumbnail and rename it to ensure you have something descriptive. Click on Rename to apply the change.
