Add an audio clip
- [Narrator] You can add sound to a PowerPoint presentation from a file on your computer. Go to the Insert tab, click on Audio, and select Audio on My PC. Click on Audio Files to see the file types that PowerPoint supports. Navigate to the file, select it, and click on Insert. The audio format tab lets you change the appearance of the audio icon on the slide. Clicking on Change Picture allows you to choose from a number of different image types to replace the sound icon. The Playback tab allows you to adjust how the audio plays, including how it starts, if it should fade, et cetera. By default, the clip plays on just this one slide. To make the music play in the background of your entire presentation, go to the Playback tab, click Play in Background.
