From the course: Power BI: Working Together with Copilot

Essential knowledge for success

- In this course we'll explore how Copilot can enhance your Power BI experience. Now you may already know that Power BI offers both a desktop app and an online version. Currently Copilot is only available in preview for the desktop app. Therefore, for this course, we'll be focusing solely on the online app also known as the Power BI service. The web app is fully integrated with the Microsoft Online Suite, ensuring a smooth and seamless user experience. So before you continue, just make sure that you have access to Copilot in Power BI. If not, you may need assistance from your administrator or IT department. Now data transformation is feasible, but quite limited in the Power BI service and so whilst we will be covering this feature in this course, the majority of our focus will be on how Copilot can help with analyzing data rather than shaping it. I also want to highlight the fact that Copilot tailors the user experience so what that means is the responses that you see on your screen may not exactly match mine, and that's perfectly fine. I'm here to guide you through any nuances. Throughout this course, we'll progressively build upon your Power BI knowledge, which includes the ongoing development of a Power BI product. So to get the most out of this course, I strongly recommend that you work through each movie in order rather than jumping around. Lastly, we'll be working with a set of exercise files. To maximize your learning, please go ahead and download then extract these files to your OneDrive account. Just ensure that you're using the same Microsoft account that you use to access Power BI.
