- [Instructor] Before you start building visuals, you need to know what story you're telling. Clear objectives give your report direction, keep your visuals focused, and help your audience take action. Let's walk through how to write them inside Power BI. Starting from Power BI Hub, select Blank report. In the menu at the top, click Text box. Now type, The report will. To see everything while creating the statements, let's change the font to 24. Using the reasons you and your stakeholders want the report, let's turn those goals into clear, focused guidance. Select a specific action verb to describe what the visual or visuals will display. For example, track, measure, highlight, or compare. For the first objective, let's type Measure. Now, I need to identify what the visual is measuring.
