- [Instructor] A seasoned business intelligence developer knows how to take a systems approach to their analysis. This kind of approach helps you eliminate human errors and build reports much faster. When I first started my consulting agency, I often took a reactive approach to my client engagements. They would approach me with a problem, then I would get to work digging through the data to analyze that problem. Conducting analysis just as questions arise, is an ad hoc approach to analysis. This means you're building one-time reports to address specific questions, and there are a couple downsides to this approach. Namely, it is time consuming, so you take a lot of time to manually create these reports every time, and since you're manually creating these reports, they are prone to human error.
