- [Instructor] One way we can visualize a flow diagram is with weighted paths using the Sankey chart named after an Irish captain and engineer. In Power BI, let's use a Sankey diagram to visualize the sales pipeline for a company. First then, we need to import the Sankey visual, which we'll do so through the Power BI AppSource store. The Sankey diagram often seems initially confusing to work with because of the prevalence of the origin and destination fields in the visual. These imply we're only able to add two columns on the sides of the Sankey chart path for the Start and End state. However, the flexibility of a Sankey chart is much more impressive than that. Based on the initial appearance of the data table, we would think that we would see a Sankey chart with flows between two blocks, or two sides.
