Tools for governance

- [Instructor] Governance is the ability to place guardrails around resources and service we may leverage from cloud, either single or multicloud. These are policies or rules that we place around resource usage. Examples of governance could be only leveraging a cloud service at a specific window of time, such as work hours, or not leveraging more than an allocated amount of resources, such as money for cloud usage. Given the role of governance, it's important that this work well within all multicloud deployments. You'll need to track usage of thousands of resources and services, and that would be impossible for you to do manually. There are several types of governance that you may employ, including resource governance, service governance, compliance governance, and cost governance.
