- [Instructor] Now that we know how to configure and deploy a SQL virtual machine, it's time to create an Azure SQL database. I've logged into the portal, and we're on the home screen. Let's use the search bar, and here we'll find the recent services that we used, Azure SQL. Let's open the service. Let's click on create to display the deployment options. This time, we're going to create a SQL database. There are different resource types available. Let's show the details of the different types. First, we have a single database for modern cloud born applications that need a fully managed database with predictable performance. Second, we have an elastic pool for managing the performance of multiple databases with variable usage patterns.
