- Pivoting into project management is not for the faint of heart. In order to be successful, you have to hone in on your strongest attributes, you know, those things you're naturally good at and it begins by identifying what makes you special or better yet, which of your attributes will help you pivot into project management. Say for example you're an engineer. While you may not be the absolute best engineer, you can harness your critical analysis, problem solving and analytical skills to make yourself a promising project management candidate. Furthermore, you can study how other engineers leveraged their skills to pivot into project management. This way, you can develop and showcase some of these same skills.
