Using masking to retouch portraits

Camera Raw makes it easy to select a person or multiple people and make edits locally to individual elements such as the hair or the eyes. In a previous video, we applied the Adobe Adaptive Beta profile to this image. For now, I'm going to switch that back to the Portrait profile so that we can take a look at the masking tools. When Camera Raw identifies a person or multiple people in an image, you'll see an icon for where those people appear in the masking panel. I'll go ahead and click on that and I could make a mask for the entire person or we can toggle that off and then we can check all of the individual attributes that we want to create masks for. I wanna create nine separate masks, so I'll select that and choose Create. Then let's go ahead and zoom in and I'll use the space bar to navigate towards the face.
