Enhancing white balance, tone, and contrast

Let's take a moment to find out how to make quick enhancements to color, tone and contrast in Camera Raw. I'll start with the mountains image and open it into Camera Raw. I'm going to use the optics panel in order to remove chromatic aberration and enable use profile correction. Then I'll change the profile to landscape and move to the color panel. If I need to change the white balance of the image, we can use the dropdown menu to select from any of the different presets, or we can use the eyedropper tool if we know that there's something in the image that should be neutral. I'll click in the cloud area, although clouds are definitely not always neutral. If we want more control, we can use the temperature and tint sliders to either cool down the image or to warm the image. One thing I want to point out, if you're working along using your own JPEG files, there are going to be fewer options in the dropdown and the temperature values will go from zero to 100 instead of from 2000 to…
