- [Instructor] As we work through the exercises in this training course, we need to learn how to save our images to maintain flexibility, especially when we start working with layers. So, I want to make a change to this image. I want to add a color tint over it that goes from a blue to a purple, and we can do this non-destructively using a gradient fill layer. So, from the layer menu, I'll choose new fill layer, and then gradient. I want to change the blend mode to color and we haven't talked about blend modes but if I don't change this to color, then all we're going to see is a solid gradient. We won't see the succulents underneath it. All right, I'll click okay and then I'm going to use the disclosure triangle here in order to select a gradient.
