- Your job as a photographer, whether you are using an iPhone or another type of camera, is to take control of the viewer and demand that they look at the image you want them to see. Your goal in your compositions and your exposure choices and your framing and everything is to make sure that they are seeing the subject that you want them to see in the context that you want them to see it. One of the best tools that you have for controlling the viewer's eye and making them see your photographic vision is point of view. And one of the biggest mistakes, or not a mistake, but just a weakness that most people have when they're taking pictures with any type of camera, is they forget the power of position in terms of defining a point of view.
