- [Instructor] There is a tool that we have not talked about that I use on probably the majority of my images, especially my black and white images. I'm talking about a vignette tool. Vignetting is the process of darkening the corners of an image. A lot of lenses produce a vignette on their own, and when you're lens shopping, you usually want to check the corners and make sure that vignetting doesn't happen, especially in wide angle lenses. But in post-production, a vignette is a great way to bring attention to the center of a frame. It's a great way to keep the viewer's eye from leaving the edge of the frame. It's a great way to hide information on the edges or corners of the frame. So we're going to look at a vignette tool. Most image editing apps these days have them. If not, you can create them manually through all sorts of techniques. This needs to go black and white.
