- You've probably heard the saying, "You can never be a prophet in your own land." That's because even if you're amazing and knowledgeable and prophetic, people back home just think of you as Joe or Mary or Dinesh. In the last few years, you've learned and grown at your company and in your job. You have good ideas about ways to improve things and make an impact. But in order to get people to listen, you have to shake things up and get people to see you differently. That's something I cover more extensively in my book "Reinventing You." And here I wanted to share a key tip from that book, the outside in strategy, with you.
