We'll capture ideas through drawing and test them in Illustrator. Pattern tiles. We'll cover the five tile types and functionalities within the pattern tool. Simple patterns. We'll use simple methods to create precise pattern designs. And complex patterns. We'll use a bounding box method to compose complex repeat patterns. Pattern effects. We'll use the appearance panel to control blend modes and add texture. And brand patterns. In this course, we'll create object-oriented pattern designs. We'll take flat patterns and turn them into more immersive patterns, using effects via the appearance panel, and how pattern design can be used for products or merchandise.
