- Next is the technique of storytelling. This is an incredibly powerful tool in the world of sales and for a lot of other situations, but it can be used to reframe and to change the way a prospect looks at a situation. Stories have been told throughout history in order to get points across and explain intricate concepts, and that's because they're easy to visualize. They're also easy to relate to because they're often linked to something someone understands. We go through a journey and we learn lessons along the way. Now, this doesn't need to be a novel that takes a few hours to tell, with heroes, villains, love stories, and car chases. Just a quick anecdote of a previous client you've dealt with that had a similar state of mind, and how they found their way to a different result, the correct result.
