- [Narrator] Rules are great because I can use them to take messages that I'm receiving and automatically move them into folders. The downside is, that if my inbox is collapsed or if the folder above the sub-folder that contains a message has collapsed, I may not even see that there are new items that have arrived and are now moved to Fabric for Charles. So, if I have messages that are important for me to attend to, but I also have rules moving those to folders, one way I can help myself with that is actually to put that folder in favorites, because if that folder's hidden, I don't see that it has new messages. I just see that the inbox does. But if I take Fabric with Charles, right click and add it to favorites, it's very apparent when there are four unread messages sitting in that folder. This favorites area at the top is totally customizable for you, but I save this area for my inbox, my drafts folder,…
