My Day and the To Do panes in Outlook

- Wouldn't it be nice if we could see our calendar, our tasks, our emails, and other events in one view without having to leave our Inbox? Well, you're in luck. In New Outlook, the "My day" and "To Do" panes are built-in productivity tools that allow you to view and manage your calendar events and tasks without switching to another application. They appear as slide-in sidebars from the right side of the Outlook window. If we jump up to the V ribbon and in the Layout group we have a "My day" option. I'm going to choose "Show", and you'll see it appear on the right-hand side. We have two tabs, Calendar and To Do. Now, if we go to Calendar, because it's currently Saturday, I don't have any events planned, but if I was to click on yesterday, you can see that I have any tasks that are due today and also, a scheduled event in my calendar. So, this is just a really nice, quick way of being able to view a mini calendar, any tasks that are upcoming, and also any meetings that you've got…
