OCI Virtual Cloud Network (VCN) introduction
(upbeat tune) - [Sergio] Hello and welcome to this presentation on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Networking. My name's Sergio Castro, and today we're seeing the OCI Virtual Networks. Now, if you are familiar with another cloud provider terminology such as AWS or GCT, or Digital Ocean, IBM Cloud, Alibaba, they all call their virtual network the Virtual Private Cloud or the VPC and in short calls their virtual network the VNet. Here at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, we call it the Virtual Cloud Network, and this is how it looks. Once you create a VCN, you can add all of these components. And for you to place resources on a Virtual Cloud Network, you need a subnet. And a subnet can either be a public subnet or a private subnet. A public subnet allows your resources to communicate to the open internet and you can make them available to resources from the open internet. Now, resources in a private subnet can communicate to the open internet, but resources from the open internet cannot…
